Favourite Music Video's

Madonna - Vogue

This video is one of my favourite music video's of all time.
This video is very popular as it has a catchy song and like all good music video's, it has a great dance routine. The whole video is set in black and white and has a very 1930/1940's hollywood glamour theme to it. Then we have the title 'Vogue' which is just reminding us of how Madonna can strike a pose.

Michael Jackson - Beat it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRdxUFDoQe0

Michael Jackson was the first artist to successfully pull off making a short film as a music video as he proved with Thriller, and Beat It also showed how good he was at making short films. His dancing in this video really makes the whole thing and shows how amazing he really is. The video has a story behind it, two 'gangs' go against each other until Michael comes in and breaks up the fight and begins to dance, and then encouraging both gangs to start dancing to show that violence is never the answer.

The purpose of this video is to promote Michael as an artist as the video is promoting the two things Michael is best as, producing short film music videos and his amazing choreographed dances.
The record company didn't pay for the video as they didn't think it would be worth the money so Michael paid for it out of his money and it's now become one of the greatest music videos of all time.
